Description
Wild fennel (foeniculum vulgare) grows spontaneously in Sicily it is both sweet and spicy at the same time with a light flavour of aniseed. A typical Sicilian sauce where the sea comes to meet with the earth in a very pleasant combination. It is usually used to dress pasta. The sardines, wild fennel, sultanas, and pine nuts make this sauce rich with a strong flavour in which it is possible to perceive the extra virgin olive oil. Very Sicilian!
Ingredients: Tomato sauce, wild fennel 15%, SARDINES (sardina pilchardus, FISH) 15%, onion, sunflower oil, extra virgin olive oil, salted ANCHOVIES, raisins, salt, sugar, aromas. ALLERGENS: May contain traces of NUTS, MILK derivates, CELERY, FISH and CRUSTACEANS.
